The frequency of follow-up appointments for medication assisted treatment (MAT) with Suboxone (buprenorphine) is weekly until urine drug screens (UDS) and symptoms are stable. After 1 month of stability, appointments are typically reduced to biweekly. After an additional month of stability, appointments are typically reduced to monthly and remain so as long as stability continues. To avoid any possibility of running out of medication, we recommend scheduling follow-up appointments at least 2-3 weekdays prior to when your refill is due.
