We prescribe Suboxone (buprenorphine) or Vivitrol (naltrexone) as indicated to assist with recovery from opioid use disorder.
Appointments for management of suboxone include review of random urine drug screens. At the start of treatment, follow up is weekly. After 4 consecutive weeks of stable drug screens, appointments are typically extended to biweekly. After 8 weeks of continued stability, appointments are typically extended to monthly and remain so while stability continues.
Drug screens are repeated periodically while receiving treatment. Depending on location, it may be possible for a lab representative to visit your home to collect urine samples, or you may need to visit a laboratory nearby.
To minimize the possibility of running out of medication, we recommend promptly submitting drug screens and requesting follow-up care online, at least 3 weekdays in advance of your requested refill date.
